Kohima: Nagaland BJP leaders packed the Dimapur Town Hall on July 2 for a high-stakes workshop. The event aimed to tighten party coordination and build a stronger presence at every level of the state. National Secretary Vinod Sonkar served as the guest speaker. He pushed the party to focus on local growth. "The progress of Nagaland depends on strong organisation, dedicated leadership, and active public participation," Sonkar told the room.
State President Benjamin Yepthomi opened the floor with a clear call to action. He told the gathered members to stay united and keep their service to the public at the front of their minds. Attendees included MLAs, district presidents, and mandal representatives from across the state. They spent the day in three training sessions covering party mechanics and how to better engage local voters.
The event featured traditional performances and an invocation by Rev. Kevihulie Pienyu. Officials used the meeting to align on the development goals set by the Prime Minister. They want benefits to reach every corner of the state to build a self-reliant future. The massive turnout of former ministers, candidates, and office bearers signals the party is betting on a unified push for future growth.
