Kohima: NagaEd recently conducted its A.C.E. Leadership and Transformative Teaching Workshops for educators and officials in the Mon and Peren districts of Nagaland. The program reached 26 participants in Peren on May 8, followed by a session in Mon on May 15. The initiative falls under the District Empowerment Programme and aims to foster reflective leadership within local schools.
The workshops emphasized the human elements of education, covering topics like self-awareness, empathy, and different leadership styles. Through group discussions and reflection activities, attendees explored how these interpersonal skills influence the daily school environment. The sessions were designed to help participants improve their ability to resolve conflicts and build trust among students and staff.
Livi Chishi, a senior manager at NagaEd, noted that effective school leadership requires more than just administrative systems. She emphasized that the goal was to create a space where teachers and leaders could think deeply about how they communicate and collaborate. Organizers hope these sessions will encourage participants to bring these people-centered practices back to their home communities to strengthen the overall educational landscape.
