Kohima: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) officially opened its District Development Manager office in Mon this past Saturday. Deputy Commissioner Wennyei Konyak inaugurated the facility alongside various banking officials, district representatives, and development partners.
During the event, Konyak pointed to the significant potential for growth within the region. He emphasized the necessity of aligning various government schemes to ensure their impact is fully realized. "I am confident that it would strengthen coordination between NABARD and district-level stakeholders, facilitating more effective implementation of development initiatives," Konyak noted while praising the bank for establishing a local presence.
NABARD Deputy General Manager O P Mounglang reaffirmed the organization's focus on rural livelihoods and infrastructure. He stated that the bank remains dedicated to increasing credit flow and fostering sustainable growth through close collaboration with local agencies. The inauguration also featured insights from the State Bank of India, the Nagaland State Cooperative Bank, and the Eleutheros Christian Society, all of whom committed to ongoing partnership efforts.
