Moyon Tribe Honours Community Achievers at Special Ceremony

Imphal: The Bujuur Aanchung Puh, representing the Moyon tribe, gathered at the Thoma Memorial Hall in Kapaam, Chandel, on Tuesday to celebrate the professional milestones of several community members. The recognition ceremony, titled Pride of our Community, sought to honor individuals who have reached high levels of success in their respective careers.

Among those recognized were Lucksha N. Moyon, who placed 108th in the 2022 MCS CCE, and CRPF Commandant John Chinir Moyon. The event also honored Lieutenant Colonel Lemjoy Chara of the Ministry of Defence, RIMS Professor Dr. Roel Langshong, DIG of Medical for the CRPF Dr. Joyce Chara, and United College Principal Dr. Danney Chara.

BAP President Francis Chinir Moyon opened the proceedings by highlighting the pride these individuals bring to the community. R. Angningden Moyon, chairman of the Moyon Chief Association, commended the honorees as a blessing to the tribe. Reverend Roel Pheliboy Moyon offered a prayer of gratitude and encouraged the attendees to prioritize faith as a foundation for personal success.

The event drew church officials along with youth and women leaders from various Moyon Naga villages. Organizers designed the ceremony to showcase these role models, hoping their success will inspire the next generation to pursue their own goals with dedication.
