Mon District Residents Get New Election Service App

Kohima: Election officials in Mon are pushing a new digital tool. The Election Commission of India just rolled out ECINET, a platform built to handle voter services in one spot. It works on the web and through mobile apps for Android and iOS users.

Residents can fix roll errors, register to vote, or request a new card. You can track your application status or download your electronic voter ID right from your phone. The platform also lets people check their names against the latest electoral rolls.

The system adds a direct line for voters. It features a "Book a Call with BLOs" option to get quick help from Booth Level Officers. Users can also lodge complaints or appeal decisions made by the Electoral Registration Officer through the integrated grievance system.

Officials hope the move cleans up the process. Pakon Phom, the ADC and Electoral Registration Officer in Mon, wants everyone in the district to download the app. The goal is to make voting services faster and easier to reach for every citizen.
