Kohima: Deputy Commissioner Wennyei Konyak has ordered all coaching centres in Mon district to complete their registration by May 31, 2026. This directive stems from the creation of a District Level Committee tasked with overseeing the regulation of private tutoring establishments across the region.
The mandate applies to any facility that provides instruction, tuition, or guidance to more than 20 students. This includes centres focused on academic support or preparation for competitive examinations. To facilitate the process, the district administration has made official application forms available at the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
The administration clarified that each branch of a coaching centre must be registered as an individual entity. If a business operates multiple locations, the owner is required to submit separate applications for every site. Officials stated that these measures aim to establish greater accountability and ensure that all educational services in the district operate according to current government policy.
