Mokokchung Press Club marks 18th anniversary with tree planting initiative

Kohima: The Mokokchung Press Club observed its 18th foundation day on June 6 by hosting a tree planting drive along the NH 702D stretch in Mongsenbai Road. Members gathered to plant cherry blossom saplings, continuing a beautification project the organization first launched in 2018.

This ongoing initiative focuses on transforming a previously deserted section of the road into a greener corridor for the town. By organizing this event, the club aims to enhance the visual appeal of the highway while raising public awareness regarding urban conservation efforts.
