Mokokchung Election Chief Orders Appointment of Booth Agents

Kohima: Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer has ordered all recognized political parties to appoint Booth Level Agents for every polling station. This move follows direct instructions from the Chief Electoral Officer of Nagaland.

Officials need these agents on deck before the Special Intensive Revision of the Electoral Roll begins. This revision aims to keep voter records accurate and transparent. The District Election Officer noted, "BLAs, as authorised representatives of political parties, play a vital role in assisting Booth Level Officers."

These agents help check voter details and catch errors. They act as a bridge between the parties and the officials running the booths. The Deputy Commissioner wants these appointments handled immediately to ensure the polling process stays on track.
