MLA Rameshwor Calls for Revival of Manipur Traditions to Restore Peace

Imphal: Keirao Assembly Constituency MLA Lourembam Rameshwor Meetei believes Manipur can build a strong future only by clinging to its roots. He spoke at a ceremony dedicated to Ibudhou Pakhangba in Imphal East district. Locals gathered at the Kongba Meirongbi sacred site to pray for harmony.

Rameshwor serves as the First Vice-President of the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board. He told the crowd that the state finds its true power in indigenous religion and ancient customs. He wants citizens to live by these traditional values. "Manipur can become a strong and prosperous state only if its people preserve and practise the religion and cultural traditions inherited from their ancestors," Rameshwor said.

The ritual aims to bring stability back to the region. Sandham Gandharaj, a Member Secretary of the Board, noted that Kongba Meirongbi holds deep significance for those following Ibudhou Pakhangba. The group continues to host prayers at various holy sites across Manipur to foster well-being.
