Imphal: Saikul MLA Kimneo Hangshing visited Taphou Village in Senapati on Wednesday to offer support to the families of 14 Kuki hostages. During the visit, she provided essential food items including rice, dal, and potatoes to the affected households.
Hangshing expressed deep concern regarding the situation and stated that the youths are innocent individuals caught in the conflict solely due to their Kuki identity. She affirmed that ongoing efforts are focused on securing their release and urged the families to maintain hope during this difficult time.
To demonstrate solidarity with the families, Hangshing joined them in a brief sit-in protest. She emphasized her commitment to standing with the community throughout their ongoing struggle.
