Aizawl: Mizoram now has tap water in every rural home, school, and anganwadi center. The Jal Jeevan Mission hit its target this week. All 852 state projects are finished. Officials confirmed the milestone on Wednesday during a review meeting.

Chief Secretary Khilli Ram Meena chaired the session. He pushed for better teamwork between local departments to keep the taps running. "Chief Secretary Khilli Ram Meena, emphasised the need for close coordination among all concerned departments to effectively implement and sustain the water supply projects."

The state met the goal by finishing a massive construction rollout. The committee also scouted ways to fix maintenance issues. They want to ensure these water systems last for years. Monitoring remains a top priority.
