Aizawl: The Board of Trustees for the Chief Minister’s Charitable Trust met in Aizawl on Wednesday to announce a major shift in the organization's operations. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Lalduhoma, the board decided to open the trust as a formal channel for receiving Corporate Social Responsibility support. This expansion allows government departments, societies, NGOs, and private individuals to access funding and project implementation through the trust.
During the meeting, officials reviewed the financial performance from the previous year and solidified the leadership team for the 2025 to 2026 fiscal year. R. Lalrodingi was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer, while Raymond Lalmuanate will serve as the secretary. To streamline these efforts, the board plans to work closely with the Mizoram Corporate Social Responsibility Cell on future initiatives.
The trustees also prioritized securing registration under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act. Obtaining this status will allow the trust to legally accept donations from international sources. By positioning itself as a primary implementing agency, the trust aims to simplify the process for local organizations and departments to connect with essential CSR resources.
