Shillong: The Mizo Students Union hosted a freshers meet at NEIGRIHMS in Shillong this past Friday. Students packed the venue to celebrate their heritage. Mizoram Health Minister Lalrinpui attended the event alongside the Director of NEIGRIHMS to greet the incoming class.
Organizers filled the schedule with traditional dances and displays of ethnic costumes. The goal was to connect new students with the local community. The night reached a high point when Mizo rockstar Zorock took the stage. His performance drew an enthusiastic response from the crowd. The union described the event as a way to "celebrate their cultural identity" while giving newcomers a memorable start in the city.
