Missing Assam CRPF Soldier Found Dead at Rajasthan Train Station

Guwahati: Authorities discovered the body of CRPF jawan Amarendra Ray at Kota Junction in Rajasthan on July 11. Ray, a resident of Manikpur in the Bongaigaon district of Assam, went missing more than a week ago. Police identified the soldier using documents found with his remains.

Ray left Bijni in the Chirang district on July 2 to travel to his post. He stopped at Tundla Junction in Uttar Pradesh on July 3 and stayed the night at a hotel near Agra Fort. He boarded a train from Agra Idgah station the next day. Contact with his family ceased shortly after he boarded that train. Officials stated: "Police are investigating the incident, and further details are awaited."
