Kohima: NPWD Minister P. Bashang Chang inspected Tuensang District Hospital on June 19. He met with the Senior Medical Officer to review medical facilities, local service quality, and the rollout of government healthcare schemes. This marks his fifth visit to the facility since taking office in 2023.

He walked through the dialysis center, maternity wing, and pediatric wards. The Minister spoke with patients to check on their recovery and offered prayers. He pledged to keep pushing for better hospital infrastructure and necessary resources to boost patient care.

The visit doubled as a memorial for his late father, Phanglou Chang. The Minister and his family used the first anniversary of his father’s passing to spend time with staff and patients. Senior Medical Officer Dr. Senilo Magh thanked the Minister for the visit. He stated, "He appreciated the gesture and acknowledged the positive impact of the visit on both patients and healthcare personnel."

Hospital staff welcomed the attention. The direct interaction helped lift morale among the workers. Chang vowed to maintain his focus on local health outcomes.
