Kohima: MGM College hosted a mass enrollment drive for the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme on June 20. The event aimed to secure health cards for the entire academic community.
The Nagaland Health Protection Society organized the session alongside the Dimapur district administration and the Department of School Education. Officials set up shop in the college auditorium to process applications for students, faculty, and support staff. The drive provides a safety net for medical costs.
District Programme Coordinators Moameren and Yanger oversaw the operations. MGM College Nodal Officer Temjen Longkumer assisted the team as they walked applicants through the registration steps. The college stated that the initiative reflects its "commitment to promoting health awareness and ensuring access to essential healthcare benefits for its academic community."
Turnout was high. Many participants walked away with their coverage confirmed by the end of the day.
