Kohima: The Meriema Village Gazetted Officers' Krotho held a handover ceremony on May 22 at the Kohima residence of outgoing president Neidilhou Keditsu. The event marked the official transition of leadership for the organization, which seeks to foster cooperation and mutual understanding among its members.
During the program, Keditsu congratulated the incoming team and expressed his support for their future endeavors. He acknowledged that while his team worked to advance the welfare and unity of the village, they relied on divine guidance to navigate their goals. He pledged that the outgoing members would remain available to provide assistance to the new leadership.
Incoming president Dr. Thepfudi Shüya emphasized that unity and coordination are essential for the progress of the village community and its officers. He also recognized the contributions made by the previous team throughout their tenure.
The newly elected executive team will serve for the 2026 to 2028 term. In addition to Dr. Shüya, the leadership group includes general secretary Er. Neilhoukholie Chielie, treasurer Kevidezo Chiesotsu, and information and publicity secretary Asonuo Kezieo.
