Shillong: The All Garo Hills SSA School Teachers Association recently expressed its appreciation to the Meghalaya government for launching a new Structured Pay Framework. This initiative is designed to fix long-standing issues within the payment system for SSA teachers, providing them with more financial security and consistency.

Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma noted that the policy change represents a significant effort to boost the dignity and morale of educators throughout the state. He described the positive reaction from the teaching community as a major encouragement for the government to continue strengthening the local education sector.

While the new framework aims to streamline salary disbursements across all districts, the Chief Minister also challenged teachers to maintain a strong focus on their students. He highlighted the vital role that educators play, reminding them that lasting societal progress starts directly within the classroom.
