Meghalaya High Court Continues Hearing on Murder Suspect's Bail

Shillong: The High Court of Meghalaya is set to continue its review of a criminal petition filed by the state government, which seeks to challenge the bail granted to murder suspect Sonam Raghuvanshi. The matter follows an initial order from a Sessions Judge that released the accused.

Justice Wanlura Diengdoh presided over the proceedings on Friday, during which he heard arguments from the defense counsel, S. Thapa. Because the court could not finalize its decision, the case has been moved to the next scheduled date.

The court officially announced the timeline for the case, noting that "the matter has been listed for further hearing on June 8."
