Shillong: Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong will hold a review meeting next week to evaluate the ongoing construction of the Shillong-Dawki Road. The project has faced significant delays due to recurring landslides, prompting the government to seek more effective solutions to secure the route.

Tynsong recently met with the Managing Director of the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited in New Delhi to discuss these challenges. He pushed for large-scale landslide protection measures to be implemented across the entire corridor. These improvements aim to protect commuters and ensure that this vital road remains open and reliable for public travel.
