Shillong: Members of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee gathered in Mendipathar on Saturday to voice their opposition to the current economic climate and the integrity of national examinations. Protesters highlighted the burden of rising costs for essential goods and called on the government to take immediate action to stabilize prices.
The demonstration also focused on alleged irregularities within the national examination system, specifically citing the NEET controversy. Party leaders and workers demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, arguing that his department failed to manage testing processes with sufficient fairness. According to the party, the Ministry of Education has failed to ensure a "fair and transparent conduct of examinations, including NEET."
