Meghalaya Chief Minister Announces Funding for Tura Natya Samity

Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma visited Tura on May 23 to mark the centenary of the Tura Natya Samity. During the event, he announced a financial grant of Rs 25 lakh dedicated to the infrastructure development of the historic cultural institution.

Sangma praised the organization for serving as a hub of art and creativity for the past century. He noted that the group has played a vital role in fostering artistic talent across multiple generations in the region.

The Chief Minister explained that this funding is intended to improve facilities for young performers. He emphasized that the investment will help the institution continue its mission of promoting unity and diversity through its ongoing cultural programs.
