Shillong: The Office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit), Meghalaya, hosted a training workshop in Shillong on Tuesday to promote the use of Hindi in administrative tasks. Thirteen officers and staff members attended the session to sharpen their professional writing skills.
Senior Deputy Accountant General Dhanlaxmi Chourasia opened the event by emphasizing the need for practical training in official Hindi noting and drafting. She noted that such workshops help employees overcome hesitation and improve the quality of official correspondence in the language.
Dr. Sainath Vithal Chaple, an assistant professor from the Department of Hindi at NEHU, led the technical sessions. His instruction covered official correspondence and the use of the Bhashini digital tool. He also trained participants on using the Anuvadini software and explained the application of large language models for translation and drafting purposes.
