Imphal: The Manipuri documentary film Battlefield has been selected for the International Competition section at the 19th Mumbai International Film Festival, scheduled for June 15 to 21, 2026. The 2026 edition will feature gala screenings, panel discussions, and the presentation of Golden and Silver Conch awards with total cash prizes reaching 55 lakh rupees.
Festival officials reported a record 1,459 entries from 47 countries for the upcoming event. The final list of competing films will be released closer to the festival opening.
