Imphal: Manipur will host the Miss Universe Manipur 2026 pageant on June 21 at the Chandrakriti Auditorium in Imphal. Twenty contestants from across the state will compete for the crown, which serves as a direct entry point into the Miss Universe India 2026 competition.
State Director and fashion designer Robert Naorem noted that the event provides young women with exposure to a major national beauty and leadership platform. He said, "The Miss Universe platform has consistently promoted women’s empowerment and encouraged participants to emerge as leaders, advocates, and ambassadors for meaningful social causes."
To support this vision, the organization has partnered with the Manipur AIDS Control Society and For Better Kangleipak. These collaborations focus on community initiatives including HIV and AIDS awareness, tree plantation drives, and local cleanliness campaigns.
The production features guidance from industry professionals, with former model Sheetal Sharma directing and choreographing the event. Grooming sessions for the participants will be led by Noyonita Lodh, the winner of Miss Universe India 2014. The judging panel will include National Director of Operations Amzad Khan and Miss Universe India 2025, Manika Vishwakarma.
The competition is powered by Kisna Diamonds and Jewellery in Thangmeiband, with additional support from PCTC. Organizers hope the pageant will provide a career-defining opportunity for local talent to gain recognition on national and global stages.
