Manipur Security Forces Launch Major Operations to Curb Regional Violence

Imphal: Combined security forces have launched a coordinated campaign to restore order across Manipur. Large contingents are now conducting cordon and search operations and area domination exercises in the vulnerable districts of Kangpokpi, Churachandpur, and Thoubal.

Authorities have established multiple checkpoints and nakas to monitor civilian movement and deter potential violence. These heightened security measures respond to a recent rise in killings and armed inter-community conflicts. The Director General of Police is personally directing the strategy to stabilize these sensitive zones.

Officials stated that the objective is to secure the region and restore public confidence. According to official sources, "Large contingents of security personnel have been deployed to strengthen surveillance and maintain law and order in areas that have witnessed heightened tensions in recent weeks." Agencies continue to conduct massive combing operations to identify and neutralize active threats.
