Security forces subsequently captured Sarangthem Jayenta Meetei, described by officials as an "S/S Lieutenant Colonel and Director In-Charge of Intelligence of the outfit," in the Kongba Bazar area.
The following day, police arrested another KCP (PWG) cadre, identified as Surensangbam Bungcha, in the Maibam Leikai area. In a separate incident on June 19, security personnel detained a juvenile linked to the United Kuki National Army near Songpi village in Churachandpur.
