Manipur Police Chief Reviews Security in Kangpokpi and Senapati Districts

Imphal: Manipur Director General of Police Mukesh Singh visited Kangpokpi and Senapati districts on Sunday to evaluate the local law and order situation. This trip marked his first official visit to these districts since taking on his new role. He traveled with Additional Director General of Police Lhari Dorjee Lhatoo to oversee security measures and the operational readiness of district forces.

During his visit, the police chief met with district officials and commanders from the Central Armed Police Forces to discuss how to improve coordination between security agencies and civil administration. He also held separate sessions with various Kuki and Naga civil society groups to hear their perspectives on the ongoing crisis. The Kuki Inpi Manipur submitted a memorandum outlining the specific concerns and demands of the Kuki-Zo community.

The police chief emphasized the need for impartiality and public cooperation to restore stability. He stated, "the law applies equally to everyone and reaffirmed that the police will continue to serve the people impartially." He concluded his visit by asking community leaders and the public to assist law enforcement in their efforts to maintain a secure environment.
