Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand officially opened the Exclusive Special Court for the National Investigation Agency at the Thoubal Court Complex in Khangabok on Monday. The ceremony brought together several key figures, including Outer Manipur MP Alfred K. S. Arthur, Home Minister K. Govindas Singh, various MLAs, and the Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur.

The launch of this dedicated facility aims to improve the state's justice delivery system. By housing an exclusive NIA court, officials expect to see faster trials for scheduled offenses and investigations handled by the agency. This development is part of a broader push to streamline the legal process within the region.

During the event, the Chief Minister emphasized the government's focus on maintaining judicial integrity. He noted that the new court would help enhance judicial efficiency and further reinforce the rule of law in the state. He also pledged that the government remains committed to "ensuring fair, transparent and timely justice for all citizens."
