Imphal: Imphal East has finished digitising every electoral form in the district. This marks a clean sweep for the region during the 2026 voter list revision. Officials processed over 331,000 electors across ten constituencies. Booth Level Officers handled the heavy lifting, walking house to house from May 30 through June 28 to verify the data.

The process hit a snag with 16,709 uncollectible forms, mostly due to deaths or residents moving away. Regardless, the work is done. Imphal East is ready for the next phase. The district office confirmed they are sticking to a strict mandate: "No eligible citizen is left out while no ineligible person is included in the electoral roll."

Kangpokpi district also crossed the finish line. Their teams hit three constituencies, digitising over 99,000 forms. That represents a 90.55 percent completion rate after a month of field work. It was a long haul for everyone involved.

The state moves to the next step on July 5. That is when the draft electoral roll goes public. Citizens have until August 4 to file claims or lodge objections against the new data. Authorities will sort through those complaints until September 2. The final voter lists go live on September 6.
