Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh conducted an on-site inspection of the Imphal-Saikul road development project this Sunday. The visit was aimed at assessing the progress of the infrastructure improvements, which were officially launched earlier this year as part of the state's ongoing efforts to enhance regional connectivity.

During the review, Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department, Chongtham Bishwachandra, provided a detailed briefing regarding the current status and technical trajectory of the construction. In response to the progress report, the Chief Minister issued strict directives to the concerned officials, emphasizing the necessity of adhering to high quality standards while ensuring the project remains on schedule for timely completion.

The journey to the construction site was marked by interactions with the local community, as residents and members of various clubs in the Pangei and Khundrakpam areas welcomed the Chief Minister. Throughout these engagements, citizens raised specific grievances and advocated for the advancement of basic local amenities. Mr. Khemchand expressed his gratitude for the community's warm reception and pledged that the government would thoroughly consider all viable development measures to improve public welfare in the region.
