Manipur Chief Minister Reviews Institute of Bioresources Operations

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh summoned officials to the Secretariat. They met to pick apart the current operations of the Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development. The session focused on the development and day-to-day functions of the institute.

Key state figures occupied seats at the table. N. Ashok Kumar, the Commissioner of Finance, joined Dr. Rangitabali Waikhom, Special Secretary of Cooperation. Thokchom Kiran Kumar, Secretary of IT, and W. Ibohal Singh, Registrar of Cooperatives, also attended the meeting.

The government review aims to sharpen the focus on science, technology, and bioresource-related initiatives across Manipur. Officials examined how these departments interact to drive progress. The Chief Minister expects better coordination. As the state government noted, the meeting formed part of a larger plan to "review matters concerning science, technology and bioresource-related development in Manipur."
