Manipur Chief Minister Meets Displaced Families From Kangpokpi

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh met with displaced families from Kangpokpi at the State Secretariat today. A delegation from the Meitei Union Kangpokpi District, including Laishom Hemanta, Moirangthem Joy, and Hirom Ningthem, pressed the government for faster relief and rehabilitation. They face severe hardship from the long-running ethnic conflict.

The Chief Minister listened to their complaints. He promised that the state would push to meet their needs. "The concerns of the affected families will be addressed with due consideration," Khemchand said.

The government claims it is working to bring back normalcy across the region. Officials say they remain focused on the welfare of those forced out of their homes. This meeting is part of a broader push to handle the humanitarian fallout from the fighting.
