Guwahati: Authorities in Assam have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a physically challenged minor in Morigaon district. The suspect, identified as Nazim Uddin, allegedly targeted the girl over a prolonged period in Borthal Doloi village. Police took action after the victim's family filed a formal complaint at the Moirabari Police Station.
Investigators report that Uddin, a local resident and father, used intimidation and threats to silence the victim while repeatedly abusing her. Following the arrest, officials confirmed that legal proceedings are currently moving forward. A police spokesperson stated, "Legal action is being taken against the accused in accordance with the law." The investigation into the incident remains active as authorities gather further evidence.
