Imphal: The Luangdimai Citizens Forum (LCF), in its leadership meeting held on 18 June 2026, resolved to strengthen community institutions through the formalization of Luangdimai Sentinel and the launch of the Luangdimai Human Rights Watch (LHRW).
The Forum formally recognized Luangdimai Sentinel, a platform established by Luangdimai research scholars and intellectuals to serve as a forum for research, documentation, and public engagement on issues concerning the community. The meeting appointed Dr. Liangamang Robert Panmei as Convenor and Benjamin Gondaimei as Secretary. The platform will continue to be supported by Luangdimai scholars and intellectuals.
Recognizing the need for a dedicated body to advocate for justice and address human rights violations affecting Luangdimai people, the Forum unanimously resolved to establish the Luangdimai Human Rights Watch (LHRW) and approved its Constitution.
The meeting appointed Mr. John Tingenlung Pamei as President, Thontalakbou Pamai as General Secretary, and Dr. Lungsanliu and Janet Riamei as Executive Members.
The Forum further resolved that additional members and office bearers of both organizations will be inducted after due consultation with the concerned members and stakeholders.
