Longleng Hosts Training Session for ULLAS Literacy Initiative

Kohima: Surveyors and volunteer teachers met in Longleng on May 21, 2026, for a one-day training program focused on the ULLAS literacy initiative. The session took place at the VDB/VCC Hall and aimed to prepare participants for their specific duties in community education.

EAC Longleng, Imkongmukla Ao, delivered the keynote address. She outlined the core goals of the program and defined the essential responsibilities required of surveyors and teachers to ensure the initiative succeeds in reaching the local population.

District Education Officer Y. Anungla opened the event with a welcome address. Trainers A. Wantoi Phom, Yenhong Phom, Metchei Phom, and P. Chemphang Phom led the technical sessions. They covered the implementation strategy, survey procedures, the ULLAS mobile application, and the use of the ULLAS Primer. The program concluded with closing remarks and a vote of thanks from ADC and DMA official Moian Avennoho.
