Lightning Strike Kills Two Siblings in North Tripura

Agartala: A lightning strike caused a tragedy in North Tripura on Saturday, claiming the lives of two siblings at their home in Nabincherra village. Sumanta Chakma, 30, and his 27-year-old sister Mina Chakma were inside the house when severe weather struck the area. Lightning hit the home's electric board, causing critical injuries to both adults.

Family members and neighbors rushed the pair to a local hospital, but medical staff confirmed they had died. Several children who were also inside the home during the strike sustained injuries and received primary medical treatment for their condition.

The incident has devastated the local community, leaving residents in deep shock. Local administrative officials are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the strike.
