Liangmai Naga Council delegation discusses development with Manipur CM

Imphal: A delegation from the Liangmai Naga Council met with Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand at the Secretariat to address the welfare and development needs of their community. The team was led by council president Timothy Wijunamai and included Speaker Kawidinlungbou, Chairman Lungjinbuibou, and social activist Lungphakbou Newmai.

During the meeting, the group proposed the construction of an eight-kilometer road to boost connectivity and accessibility for local residents. Chief Minister Khemchand confirmed that the administration is reviewing the request to determine its feasibility.

The Chief Minister highlighted the government's focus on equitable progress across the region. He stated, "The government has taken note of the proposal and would examine it thoroughly to assess its feasibility for implementation." Khemchand added that his administration remains dedicated to inclusive development to ensure all communities benefit from state growth.
