Ledo Police Recover Stolen Hospital Equipment in Six Hours

Guwahati: Ledo Police tracked down a thief and recovered stolen property in six hours. A water-lifting motor vanished from the Ledo Mini Primary Health Centre in the Margherita Co-District during the day. Officer-in-Charge Roshan Thapa led the rapid response team to the crime scene.

Police apprehended the suspect, Bijoy Das, shortly after arriving. Das confessed to the theft during questioning. He told officers he sold the stolen motor to a scrap dealer named Kadir Khan in Borgolai.

Officers raided the scrap yard and found the equipment. Khan fled the scene before police arrived. Authorities stated, "Police said further investigation is underway to apprehend the absconding scrap dealer and ascertain his role in the case." Local residents praised the department for the fast turnaround on the case.
