Itanagar: A significant landslide caused by persistent heavy rainfall has blocked a section of National Highway 13 in Arunachal Pradesh. The debris has cut off road access to Ziro, the headquarters of the Lower Subansiri district, stopping all vehicular traffic along the route that connects through Potin and Yazali.

Clearing the roadway has proven difficult for local officials because the rain continues to fall. Current estimates suggest that removing the large volume of earth and rock will take at least two to three days, assuming weather conditions improve.

Authorities are urging travelers to avoid the area and use an alternate path through Kimin in Assam to reach Itanagar or other nearby destinations. The closure has caused widespread travel disruptions for people moving through the region.
