KSU Ranikor President Attacked in Knife Assault

Shillong: Marconi Thongni, the president of the KSU Ranikor Circle, survived a stabbing attack on Friday afternoon at a bridge in Photkroh village. Two men allegedly confronted Thongni around 12:30 pm and stabbed him in the chest, though he fortunately sustained only minor injuries.

Thongni filed a formal FIR naming Biangsingson Syiemlieh and Spect Syiemlieh as the suspects. According to the document, the pair traveled from Dondinar Panchering village to initiate the confrontation. Thongni stated, "The duo also injured another person, Kitborlang Lyngkhoi."

Local authorities at the Ranikor Police Station have officially registered a case regarding the assault. Investigations into the motive and the whereabouts of the two named suspects are currently underway.
