Guwahati: The Kokrajhar District Magistrate slammed a hard lid on the area surrounding the local university. Authorities imposed Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita to secure the Assam Public Service Commission Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination. The test goes down July 5.

Testing happens in two sessions: 10:00 am to noon and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Only candidates, scribes, and staffers can step within a 100-metre radius of the site. The administration warned that these measures were meant to "uphold examination integrity and ensure orderly conduct of the recruitment examination."

Forget bringing your phone. Calculators, smart watches, Bluetooth gear, and written notes are banned from the venue. Security teams also cleared the street. Illegal parking and traffic jams face a crackdown within 100 metres of the building. Loudspeakers and noisy sound systems must stay silent within 200 metres of the center.
