Koinonia Baptist Church Opens New Prayer Centre in Vidima

Kohima: Koinonia Baptist Church recently inaugurated the Koinonia Prayer Centre in Vidima, Chümoukedima. This new facility marks the second prayer centre for the mission, following the original location established in Tsiesema Basa.

The inaugural event focused on the theme of a house of prayer. During the dedication service, founder Rev. Dr. Zotuo Kiewhuo emphasized the necessity of persistent prayer for Christians and the church. As part of the proceedings, the church inducted evangelist Ruokuoneizo Sanchu and assistant pastor Zashekho Hibo as the facility's full-time staff members.

The project traces its origins to the church's 25th anniversary celebrations. Construction took 21 months to complete, with the foundation stone having been laid on June 18, 2024. Deacon Lhouzakie Rutsa presented a report on the development during the ceremony.

The land for the centre was donated by Seitseilhou Virie. In a letter read by his son, Ruokuo Kire, the donor expressed a desire for the site to serve as a hub for healing, worship, and salvation. Pastor H. Rokopra Mekro thanked the church members, youth groups, and the women's fellowship for their contributions in bringing the divinely ordained project to fruition.
