Kohima Forest Division Honors Promoted Officers

Kohima: Two Forest Department staffers moved up the ranks this week. Kohima Forest Division held a pipping ceremony on June 25 to honor Range Forest Officer Khrielakuolie Suhu and Forester-II Kehusel Khazo. The event took place at the Forest Office Complex in Kohima.

DFO Dr. Sevono Seletsu led the event. She pinned the new stars on the officers alongside Range Forest Officer Medolezo Kire. This was the second ceremony held under Seletsu’s leadership. She told the room that the new ranks bring more weight.

"The stars pinned on their shoulders symbolised greater responsibilities and expectations," Dr. Seletsu said. She pushed the men to keep working with integrity and courage.

The morning started with an invocation from UDA Ngampie. Assistant Conservator of Forests Vino N Tuccu closed the event with a vote of thanks. She praised the promotees and thanked the staff for a job well done.
