Kiren Rijiju Dismisses 'Cockroach Janta Party' Social Media Trend

Itanagar: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju dismissed the recent Cockroach Janta Party trend circulating on social media, stating that the government prefers to focus on substantive issues rather than online discourse. Speaking to reporters in Dibrugarh, Assam, on May 25, the minister emphasized that governance and public service remain the administration's primary goals.

Rijiju argued that officials should not feel compelled to react to every topic that gains traction online. He maintained that while serious national matters receive proper attention, responding to every social media trend is unnecessary.

The minister also underscored the role of the electorate in the democratic process. He noted that the country is ultimately run by the people, who choose their representatives through the ballot box to serve the nation. According to Rijiju, these democratic foundations are what drive the country forward, regardless of viral online labels.
