Kohima: Nagaland Advisor Kudecho Khamo rallied local business owners in Chozuba on July 11, labeling them the primary engine for national progress. He spoke during an Entrepreneurs' Meet held under his Local Area Development Programme for the 18th Chozuba Assembly Constituency. He wants more support for the sector to create jobs and boost tax revenue.
Entrepreneurship demands fresh ideas and a stomach for risk. Khamo dismissed the excuse that business failure stems solely from a lack of cash or family issues. He argued that grit matters more. "Thinking is the capital, enterprise is the way, and hard work is the solution to life's challenges," he told the crowd.
The advisor pushed for a shift toward selling local products in outside markets. He pointed to food processing as a high-growth sector. Participants should look into the Chief Minister's Micro Finance Initiative and the Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission to grow their operations. Stay focused and avoid pessimism, he warned.
Local party leaders backed the event. Vevohu Epao of the Naga People's Front praised the focus on the business community. The day wrapped with a strategy discussion led by Chozuba Town Council chairman Sevonyi Keyho and NPF official Thepukrayi Nienu.
