Kamjong District Election Officer Releases Draft Polling Station List for 43-Phungyar

Imphal: The District Election Officer of Kamjong has officially published the draft list of polling stations for the 43-Phungyar (ST) Assembly Constituency. This update is part of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls for 2026, which uses July 1, 2026, as the qualifying date.

District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner L.N. Kashung, IAS, stated that the draft list follows the Election Commission of India guidelines and the 2020 Manual on Polling Stations regarding station rationalisation. The document is currently available for public review on the notice boards at the offices of the District Election Officer and the Electoral Registration Officer for the constituency.

The administration has notified the general public and all recognized political parties operating within Kamjong district about the availability of the list. The DEO has urged all stakeholders to examine the draft list and submit their representations, if any, within the stipulated period. Any person or political party wishing to file claims or objections regarding the proposed polling stations must do so within seven days of the notice publication.
