Kohima: K. N. Mhonthung Lotha took charge as the new chairman of the Kohima Lotha Hoho on July 3, 2026. The installation ceremony took place at the Kohima Lotha Hoho Ki. He will lead the organization for the 2026 to 2029 term.
Dr. Chumben Murry spoke at the event. He tied the leadership transition to the national Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. Murry urged the local youth to prepare for future roles in the country's growth. He stated, "Nagaland should not be left behind when the nation is progressing, and urged youth to be ready to contribute."
