Guwahati: A 25-year-old journalist was assaulted and the Barak Bani media office in Silchar, Assam, was vandalized by a group of unidentified individuals on the evening of May 28. The attack occurred at approximately 7:30 PM, causing widespread alarm throughout the local area.
Authorities have since registered an official complaint. The FIR includes serious allegations of attempted murder, robbery, unlawful trespass, and vandalism. Police have detained one youth for questioning and are currently reviewing CCTV footage to track down the remaining individuals involved in the incident.
