Kohima: Japukong Students’ Conference officials installed seven new ceiling fans at GMS Changdang. They handed over the units on October 12, 2026. The gear came courtesy of Temjen Imna Along, the minister for Tourism and Higher Education.
JKM leaders identified the lack of cooling during their Consultative Tour 2025. They pitched the request to the minister who agreed to pay for the fans. School staff, the head teacher, and Changdang Students’ Union reps watched as the JKM president, general secretary, and advisor completed the handover.
The group praised the donation. JKM stated the minister's help "reflects his commitment to the welfare of the student community." This move aims to fix the learning environment for the pupils at the school.
